Newbies Guides to Finance
Providing their own unique twist to the usual dry textbooks, this series of financial guides is written in a conversational way by an experienced financial educator.
Starting from an assumption that the reader, while intelligent, has not been exposed to the concepts explained, and wants to know the practical methods to advance their knowledge, the guides are to the point and easily understood.
Many would-be traders are confused by options, and by how they might be used alone or with other financial products to enhance trading, whether to lower risk by hedging activities, or to increase returns. There are many guides on the market, but they seem to fall into two categories - either they assume prior knowledge and experience and are difficult to follow, or they are so simplistic that you are left hungry for more information, as they didn’t tell give you any strategies or examples of how you could apply the options. This guide was produced to bridge that gap, showing you clearly how options can be used in practice, and explaining the pros and cons, equipping you for more detailed research and application.
This is one of a series of financial guides published under the “Newbies” heading, and the author is an established writer of conventional financial books who knows what he is talking about and how to explain it. After reading this book, you will have a good grounding in the mechanics of options trading, and be better placed to decide whether it is something that appeals to you.
